Jancuska has been named to the prestigious "Women to Watch on Broadway" list for 2024 by the Broadway Women's Fund, a testament to her groundbreaking contributions to theater. She is also a recipient of the highly competitive 2024-2025 Japan-US Creative Fellowship with support by the National Endowment for the Arts, 2024 Jerome Robbins "Stories That Move" residency, and 2024-2025 CUNY Initiative Fellowship with residency at Baruch Performing Arts Center.
As the founding artistic director of BringAbout Development, a 501c3 nonprofit, Jennifer pioneers the integration of dance as a narrative tool early in the development of new musicals and plays. She creates theatrical work that expands perspectives, fosters empathy, and deepens audiences' understanding of themselves through storytelling that is authentic to specific communities, cultures, and places.
With seven years of experience on Broadway, Jennifer has been at the forefront of the industry, leading the Broadway company of Hamilton as Resident Choreographer & Dance Supervisor. Her directorial and choreographic work has been honored and showcased at renowned venues including The Old Globe, Berkeley Rep, The Public, Dallas Theatre Center, Goodspeed, Madison Square Garden, Ars Nova, Little Island, New York Musical Festival, Osolo Rep, Little Field, The Drama League, The Skirball Center, Trinity Rep, and The Royal George Theater.
Jennifer's influence extends beyond direction and choreography. She is the creator of the sold-out bi-annual event BC BEAT, hailed by The New York Times as the place to “step into the spotlight and re-imagine the possibilities for dance in musical theater.” Her collaborators and mentors include Tony Award-winning entities such as Wagner Johnson Productions, Marc Bruni, Nevin Steinberg, Philip Rosenberg, Jason Sherwood, Anita Yavich, Trish Santini, Pig Pen Theatre Co., DEM productions, Phish and Universal Theatrical Group.
As an educator, Jennifer has served as a master teacher and guest lecturer at leading theater and dance programs across the country and internationally, including NYU GMTWP, Syracuse University, Ithaca College, Pace University, University of the Arts, College of Charleston, and Shanghai Theatre Academy. A graduate of Cornell University and a member of the Society of Directors and Choreographers, Jennifer continues to inspire and shape the future of theatrical storytelling.
