”I feel movement the second I'm writing a song. Sometimes we don’t think about movement in a codified way until it’s too late… Feeling like a hat on a hat instead of a conversation. The storytelling should be shared.”

I wrote in a dance moment, and I don’t fully know what it is yet, but I would have never even thought that was possible if I hadn’t been in rooms like The BringAbout. I’ve learned, from a performance and writing standpoint, the possibilities of story and character through movement.
IAN MILLER
”I often get stuck just thinking about words instead of the three-dimensional character moving through space. This type of process helps me get out of the limitations of the page by building the physical design of the work, the vocabulary and language.”

The BringAbout came together for a 2 hour photo shoot. We made a video of the experience. It is set to Adam Gwon’s song, FIND MY WAY HOME, which he wrote during the pandemic for Broadway Records’ “Artists in Residence.” Wherever The BringAbout comes together, it feels like we are home.
